BRAND ETHICS + SUSTAINABILITY
Peoples and our planet are our priority. As a fashion label we are aware of the negative impact that the fashion and textile industry has on our planet and Earth's water. Being a conscious brand, our intention is to provide our customers with the opportunity to support a product that has the future of our planet in mind by crafting versatile and enduring garments that can be used many times and for many purposes across their lifetime.
We are proud to collaborate with AQUAFIL, a company that rescues ocean and pre-and-post consumer nylon waste and regenerates it into ECONYL® yarn. This yarn can be infinitely recycled, recreated and remoulded again and again without ever losing its quality.
AZYÄ's signature smoothing fabric is a leading sustainable techno-fabric, milled in Italy, made from ECONYL® regenerated nylon yarn using the latest kitting technology. A premium and versatile performance fabric ideal for both swim and activewear apparel.
We choose to use natural fibres when making our destination wear. We limit the use of non-recyclable/reusable materials where we can. When this is not possible we choose lower impact premium materials which ensure garment longevity.
AZYÄ's development and manufacturing facilities are based in Sydney, Australia. Producing locally enables us to stay at the edge of contemporary fashion - responding to the needs of our customers in real-time. We work hand-in-hand with our pattern-makers, sewers and cutters and oversee the entire process. Our head office and the factories we work with are all within a 15km radius - our short supply chain means reduced travel kilometres and minimises the carbon footprint of each garment.
Our packaging is made from corn-starch and is biodegradable and compostable. Once it's done its job of safely protecting your garments from the elements it returns to the Earth in a non-toxic process. Our hang tags are made from 100% recycled paper.
It's paramount to us that the people who work with us are treated fairly so that our customers can feel proud of what they are wearing the same way we feel proud of what we produce.
We pride ourselves on impeccable craftsmanship and tailoring which requires attention to detail and time. We value quality over quantity and encourage investment pieces to reduce the frequency of manufacturing and the negative effects of overproduction.
